WIP; If a photon’s fired and nobody’s watching; does it make a sound?

Images; distorted light reflections in ocean water, and distorted shadows in an arctic desert.

Work in project and upcoming installation this spring at Konstfack; playing with the interference pattern in a double slit experiment transferred into sound waves through photo sensors, an Arduino board and piezzo buzzers. The buzzers create sound through vibrations, which will create waves in the water on which a Pepper’s ghost’s hologram is projected.

How will the particles/waves behave in the presence of photo sensors triggering outside events perceived by humans?

Technology; Arduino, photo sensors, piezzo buzzer, laser pointer, Pepper’s ghost projection (using smart phone).

Image of the cloud chamber used in Gravitational Lensing for inspiration.
